A place to buy and/or eat food since 1888.
There are twenty or so different stalls, restaurants, cafes and wine bars in this food hall/market in the heart of Stockholm.
From here you can take the boat to Lindingo, the beautiful green island adjacent to Sweden's capital city, Stockholm.
You can take a boat from downtown to here. At the quay, you will also find Restaurang J which is open all year round for lunch and dinner
The famous sculpture " Gud fader på himmelsbågen" [God our Father on the Rainbow]. Carl Milles designed this sculpture in 1946, as a monument for peace and a celebration of the creation of the United Nations. However, he only managed to produce a bronze model. It wasn't until 50 years' later that Milles' former pupil, the American sculptor Marshall M Frederics created the sculpture to its full size.
